  • AntibioticsAntibiotics: Based on an in vitro study, extracts from aspen bark (Populus tremula L.) may have antibiotic effects (1).
  • Anticoagulants and antiplateletsAnticoagulants and antiplatelets: Based on an in vitro study, the water extract of Populus sieboldii Miquel may inhibit arachidonic acid-induced platelet aggregation (2).
  • Anti inflammatoriesAnti inflammatories: Populus tremula contains salicylates, and thus may have anti-inflammatory properties (10).
