  • Anticoagulants and antiplateletsAnticoagulants and antiplatelets: Asafoetida may have anticoagulant properties due to its coumarin constituents (6).
  • Antihypertensive drugsAntihypertensive drugs: Based on a rat study, Ferula asafoetida gum extract may significantly reduce mean arterial blood pressure (3).
  • Anti inflammatory agentsAnti inflammatory agents: Based on an in vitro study, asafoetida may have potent and specific NF-kappaB-inhibiting properties (2).
