Arum/Drug Interactions:
  • AntibioticsAntibiotics: Arum maculatum may decrease the ability of a certain strain of Chlamydia pneumonia (strain AR-39) to replicate in the laboratory (2). The effects of Arum and antibiotics are not well understood.
  • Calcium saltsCalcium salts: Secondary sources have suggested that ingested calcium oxalate, a constituent of Arum, may interfere with mineral absorption if taken concomitantly.
  • Iron saltsIron salts: Secondary sources have suggested that ingested calcium oxalate, a constituent of Arum, may interfere with mineral absorption if taken concomitantly.
